Bernd Siegmund GmbH will be presenting its latest solutions for welding technology and automation at automatica 2025 in Munich. Visitors can look forward to an impressive range of products, technologies, and live demonstrations focused on precise clamping, welding, and automation at Hall A5, Booth 409.
The focus of the trade fair presentation will be the proven Siegmund welding tables – in use over 100,000 times worldwide and an indispensable tool for industry, trade, and automation. These tables impress with their highest quality and absolute precision, enabling precise clamping of components as well as ergonomic and efficient work. The welding tables owe their durability and resilience to standardized plasma nitriding combined with the X8.7 and X8.8 tool steel grades specially developed by Siegmund. All of the trade fair exhibits showcase a wide variety of setups, application possibilities, and adaptations – specifically for automated production processes. Visitors are cordially invited to test the systems for themselves.
In addition, a Siegmund lifting table and a Roto-Positioner will be on display at automatica. Using practical examples – including a motorcycle frame and a turbine wheel – various setup scenarios can be clearly demonstrated. The lifting table allows for stepless and ergonomic height adjustment of heavy workpieces, ensuring comfortable and safe operation. The Roto-Positioner enables precise rotating and tilting movements of components – an ideal solution for automated manufacturing processes.
A special highlight of the trade fair is the live demonstration of a robotic welding cell featuring a cobot, welding system, and cold wire feed. Visitors can experience firsthand the ease of operation and high efficiency of modern automated welding solutions in real time.
A cobot robot with a seam tracking sensor is showcased on a mobile workbench with casters. The intuitive software operation, easy teaching process, and the use of a scanner for CAD data creation are demonstrated: even without an existing CAD model, a point cloud, mesh, and edge model can be generated through 3D scanning – up to selecting the welding seam with a simple tap on the touchscreen.
Siegmund will also impressively demonstrate, using a practical application example, how seamlessly integrated automation solutions can be implemented on a Siegmund welding table. The focus is on an alternating operation where cobots and rotating welding tables work together to perform automated welding processes. The rotating welding table can be smoothly integrated into the overall system and precisely controlled via suitable interfaces – a convincing proof of the efficiency and flexibility of modern automation concepts.
Safety and innovation are also the focus of the new modular laser welding cell. The cell offers optimal protection against scattered radiation and reflections that can occur when working with lasers. Thanks to its innovative design and pre-assembled side panels, it is quickly ready for use. The laser welding cell is suitable for manual laser welding and laser cleaning in the wavelength range from 940 to 1090 nm. Siegmund offers a comprehensive safety concept and showcases a perfectly designed cell, specially developed for demanding industrial applications.
